That doesn’t mean that you have to be Jewish to attend a Kabbalah Centre—it’s just something interesting to note. It makes a lot of sense, since the Kabbalah is from Judaism.

Many celebrities have been seduced by the wisdom that the Kabbalah Centre has to offer for their lives. Paris Hilton attended classes to feel better after her breakup with Nick Carter, and has been attending ever since. In the world today, something that is a very important issue is civil, human, and migrant rights. There are so many organizations and people fighting to make sure everyone is treated equally. They put a lot of time, money, and effort into fighting for people every single day. This article is going to look at some of these outstanding organizations.

On October 18,2007, Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, had his unit called the Selective Enforcement Unit, went into the homes of two Village Voice Media executives. Those men were Michael and Jim. They were forcefully removed and put into unmarked SUVs that had tinted windows as well as Mexican license plates. Later on, Lacey and Larkin were both booked into separate jails, both of which were managed by Sheriff Arpaio.

The whole reason this happened is because the sheriff was upset about the duo running a story in the Phoenix New Times that exposed all of his misdoings. Once the public found out, they were very upset. This resulted in the duo being released within 24 hours. This illegal arrest put a long court battle that was centered around First Amendment rights and the obvious abuse of power. In 2013, as a result of the court proceedings, Lacey and Larkin were awarded a $3.7 million settlement that was paid by Maricopa County.

With this settlement money, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin created an initiative that was mainly used to help Hispanics that dealt with most of the racial hostility and civil right abuses. Thus, the Frontera Fund was born.

Families For Freedom

Three families came together to bring to light the often pushed aside issue of deportation. Together the Shahani family, Subhash Kateel, and Maria Muentes created an informal network that provides mutual support and education to other families being impacted by deportation. .This organization is a New York based, multi-ethnic human rights organization was created in September 2002. They are people who have and are facing deportation. They are fighting to try and remove the laws that are tearing families apart all over the US. They are also fighting to build the power of immigrant communities so they will have a voice too.

Immigrant Defense Project

This organization aims to bring fairness and justice to all immigrants in the United States. They are working very hard to help change the legal system. Not only does our current system violate basic human rights but our immigration system completely tears families apart.

The Immigrant Defense Project is trying to stop mass deportations and change the unfair laws. To accomplish this, they use techniques such as impact litigation and advocacy.

They also provide expert legal advice, training and resources for immigrants, legal defenders, and grassroot organizations that help defend those that are right in the middle of the struggle for justice.

As you can see, even though there are a lot of flaws to our system, there are many organizations that take human rights very seriously.
