Deirdre Baggot is a seasoned expert in the healthcare business strategy and payments. Throughout her career life, she has registered tremendous success at every endeavor she undertakes. She is well-known as the pioneer of Bundled Payments. She was the brain behind the demonstration of CMS Acute Care Episode bundled payment at Exempla Healthcare. Deirdre Baggot is a creative inventor. She is the mastermind behind the revolutionary ‘checklist’ for patients under her care. She explained that the invention is intended to eliminate the tedious lab tests and diagnostics that she had to undertake on every patient she attended. She started making lists of symptoms and retrieving data and recommendations from medical literature. To avoid ordering unnecessary tests, she tried to match lists to patients, an approach that has evolved to date to ‘care protocol’ which saves patients from needless tests and treatments.

Ms. Baggot says that she is excited for the contribution that Silicon Valley and Private money will make to health care shortly. She is fond of watching people grow and develop into great leaders and, she hopes that she has contributed to it in a certain way.
