Adam Milstein Tops List of Great Philanthropists

As the world battles hatred and violence, more philanthropists join the fight. Adam Milstein is philanthropist making great leaps and bounds for the Jewish community. A co-founder of the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, Adam Milstein dedicates much of his time fighting against the mistreatment of Jewish-Americans.

Adam Milstein’s family has fought for the State of Israel since his father, Hillel Milshtein, served as a combat sailor in Israel’s independence war. Adam also completed military service for the State of Israel during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He served with the Ariel Sharon’s Army Division.

After completing his service, he focused on pursuing higher education. All the while, he worked with his father at their real estate development and construction business. In 1974, he married Gila Elgrably and started a family. After graduating from Israeli Institute of Technology, the Technion, he moved his entire family to the United States.

He immediately continued his pursuit of higher education by attending the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 1983, he received a Master of Business Administration degree. He also continued his work in real estate. Within three years, he was a successfully renowned commercial real estate sales agent and investor.

Once he established a well-respected reputation in real estate, he focused on more philanthropic ventures. After co-founding the Milstein Family Foundation, he became completely dedicated to bettering the lives of Jewish-Americans. His greatest weapon against hate is philanthropic synergy.

He believes in uniting several organizations to conquer shared goals. By working a cohesive network, they can better achieve their goals: strengthening the Jewish people and the State of Israel and improving U.S. – Israel relations.

One of the toughest obstacles Milstein works to remove is BDS groups. BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) groups are professionally organized college groups devoted to harassing and intimidating Jewish students. Fortunately, SSI (Students Supporting Israel) groups began combating these hate groups. SSI groups consist of many students, some Jewish and other not Jewish, that are sick and tired of the mistreatment of their Jewish co-eds.
